The wonderful world of a ragdoll

We'd love to take you on a journey, discover everything you want to know.

Rates

You know the feeling: you see a cute kitten on social media, with family or friends, or maybe even on TV. After much deliberation, you decide to welcome a new friend into your household. After some searching online, you've settled on the wonderful Ragdoll breed. But how does that work?

Waiting list

Whether we have kittens or not, you can always join our waiting list. Feel free to send us an email and let us know your preference. We'd also like to know what kind of family situation the kitten will live in. Based on this situation, we'll work with you to find a kitten that best suits your needs. Would you like two kittens, or do you already have a cat and want another? In any case, the kittens' personalities must be a good fit with yours and/or your other pets.

Once you're on our waiting list, I'll notify you as soon as our cat has visited the stud. Then it's another nine long weeks before we can finally welcome the kittens. The first few weeks are crucial, and are all about rest and growing. For their health, and the peace and quiet of their mother and our other animals, we only allow visitors after six weeks. By then, the kittens will be a bit bigger, their appearance will be more apparent, and so will their personalities. Perhaps you've already developed a preference for a specific kitten, or you'll be overwhelmed by their sweet demeanor the moment you visit.

Once the kittens are born, you'll receive updates on their development several times a week. This includes some sweet photos and videos, so you don't miss a thing.

Give your kitten time to explore its new environment. Start with one safe room with food, water, a litter box, and a sleeping area. Expand the space only once you feel your kitten is comfortable. Avoid loud noises or too many visitors during the first few days.

Let your kitten get used to its new home slowly

Even if your kitten has been fully checked and vaccinated, it's wise to schedule an introductory checkup with your veterinarian within a week of bringing it home. This allows them to register the kitten, confirm its health, and answer any questions.

Initially, use the same food as in the cattery to prevent stomach problems. If you want to switch to a different brand, do so gradually. Also pay attention to coat care – especially with Ragdolls, regular brushing helps prevent tangles.
