The wonderful world of a ragdoll We'd love to take you on a journey, discover everything you want to know. The Journey Aftercare Pricing Rates You know the feeling: you see a cute kitten on social media, with family or friends, or maybe even on TV. After much deliberation, you decide to welcome a new friend into your household. After some searching online, you've settled on the wonderful Ragdoll breed. But how does that work? Waiting list Whether we have kittens or not, you can always join our waiting list. Feel free to send us an email and let us know your preference. We'd also like to know what kind of family situation the kitten will live in. Based on this situation, we'll work with you to find a kitten that best suits your needs. Would you like two kittens, or do you already have a cat and want another? In any case, the kittens' personalities must be a good fit with yours and/or your other pets. Once you're on our waiting list, I'll notify you as soon as our cat has visited the stud. Then it's another nine long weeks before we can finally welcome the kittens. The first few weeks are crucial, and are all about rest and growing. For their health, and the peace and quiet of their mother and our other animals, we only allow visitors after six weeks. By then, the kittens will be a bit bigger, their appearance will be more apparent, and so will their personalities. Perhaps you've already developed a preference for a specific kitten, or you'll be overwhelmed by their sweet demeanor the moment you visit. Once the kittens are born, you'll receive updates on their development several times a week. This includes some sweet photos and videos, so you don't miss a thing. Our journey “Use this space to share reviews from customers about the products or services offered.” You contact us and tell us what you're looking for. We'll share our approach and see if you're a good fit with one of our Ragdolls. Week 1 - 2 Introduction “Reviews are important for gaining trust. Highlight reviews from customers here.” Week 3 - 4 Reservations and appointments “Endorsements from real customers lend a personal touch to a website.” Week 5 - 6 Follow and connect You'll meet your kitten at our home and experience its personality. You'll receive tips on nutrition, care, and preparation. Week 5 - 8 The first meeting We'll process the official applications with the association and keep you informed. You can prepare everything at home using our checklist. Week 9-12 Papers & preparation We'll perform the final check and hand over the passport, contract, and starter pack. Your kitten will go home with you, and we'll remain available for aftercare. Week 14 - 16 Transfer and welcome Aftercare “Use this space to share reviews from customers about the products or services offered.” Give your kitten time to explore its new environment. Start with one safe room with food, water, a litter box, and a sleeping area. Expand the space only once you feel your kitten is comfortable. Avoid loud noises or too many visitors during the first few days. Let your kitten get used to its new home slowly Even if your kitten has been fully checked and vaccinated, it's wise to schedule an introductory checkup with your veterinarian within a week of bringing it home. This allows them to register the kitten, confirm its health, and answer any questions. Schedule a check-up with your own vet Initially, use the same food as in the cattery to prevent stomach problems. If you want to switch to a different brand, do so gradually. Also pay attention to coat care – especially with Ragdolls, regular brushing helps prevent tangles. Continue to provide the correct food and care If you have any questions or concerns – whether about behavior, nutrition, or health – please don't hesitate to contact us. Good aftercare means we'll continue to support you and help you where needed after the move. We'd also love to hear how your kitten is doing! Stay in touch for any questions or concerns Rates At our cattery, quality and loving care are paramount. Our kittens grow up in a safe, home-like environment and receive all the care they need to grow into healthy, sociable cats. Lovers The price for a kitten as a pet is €1,200. This includes not only a beautiful kitten with a pedigree, but also a complete package: vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and a carefully curated kitten package to make the start in their new home as smooth as possible. Breeders For kittens available for breeding, we offer rates available upon request. We carefully consider the match with your cattery and our shared vision on responsible breeding. Our legacy: litters and rehoming We'd like to introduce you to the rich history of Cattery de Amatrix. Over the years, we've dedicated ourselves to breeding healthy, characterful Ragdolls. Our litters, listed alphabetically from A to Z, tell the story of our dedication, knowledge, and love for the breed—each kitten a piece of our cattery's legacy. Our rehomed cats also deserve a place of honor. These special cats, as mothers or fathers, have contributed to our lines and form the foundation of the Amatrix characteristics we cherish so much. Their influence lives on through the generations they have sired and in the many families where they have spread their love and charm. We look back with pride on what we have built: a legacy of beautiful Ragdolls, loving litters, and a lasting impact on everyone who is part of the Amatrix family. INTRODUCING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AMATRIX RAGDOLLS Feline Pom Pearl Lulu Lux We are Stephen and Marissa, proud parents of three young children. In 2015, we founded Cattery de Amatrix – born from a deep love for animals that has grown into a serious passion for breeding Ragdolls. Our cats are truly part of our family. Their health, well-being, and temperament are our top priority. We don't use cages or hutches: our cats and kittens live freely in our home, grow up in the living room, and gradually explore the rest of the house. This is how they develop into sociable, stable, and happy Ragdolls. Even our tomcat enjoys freedom: he lives with a good friend, so he too can live in a calm and stress-free environment – and our cats can follow their own rhythm undisturbed. Who are we? Welcome, we're so glad you're visiting our website! We're a small, loving hobby cattery in Wijk en Aalburg, North Brabant. We welcome a litter of Ragdoll kittens only three times a year. Our Ragdolls are more than just pets to us; they're true family members, our babies, who receive daily attention and pampering. With care and dedication, we breed for health, temperament, and the beautiful appearance that makes the Ragdoll breed so beloved. Do you have any questions or would you like to know more about our kittens or our approach? Feel free to contact us – we'd be happy to tell you more! Welcome Seriously breeding a breed isn't a decision you make overnight. Breeding is much more than simply bringing a female cat and a male cat together and waiting for kittens. For us, breeding means contributing to the development of the breed by improving and strengthening it wherever possible. There are numerous varieties within the Ragdoll breed: large or small, broad or narrow, with more or less hair, larger or smaller ears, and so on. The FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline) describes an official breed standard for each breed – the characteristics a cat must have. The Ragdoll breed description can be found here: FIFe Ragdoll Standard . Of course, every breeder has their own preferences and vision. We consciously focus on breeding according to the breed standard, with special attention to the gentle, sociable temperament for which the Ragdoll is known. Health is always our top priority: all our cats are thoroughly tested before being used for breeding. Only animals that can truly contribute to the breed and our breeding plans are included in our program. We also take our Ragdolls to FIFe shows several times a year, where they are assessed by judges. This provides us with an independent assessment of whether our cats meet the official breed standard – an important confirmation that we're on the right track.
